Facebook has now come up with a plan which will allow businesses to reach new customers through WhatsApp.

“We think that enabling that B2C messaging has good business potential for us,” said the chief financial officer of Facebook,David Wehner, at a technology conference on Monday, reported by Bloomberg.

“As we learn those things, I think there’s going to be opportunities to bring some of those things to WhatsApp, but that’s more longer-term than the near-term.”

I think already marketing msg & ads are sent thru Whatsapp, may be on personal basis or by small cos.....
So now it seems Facebook wants to grab the share by officially launching platform for advertisers on Whatsapp......may be by making them available users personal data so that they could effectively target customers....
