HELP Why there is a need of postpaid bill copy of current operator in mnp for applying portability..

I have given a request if mnp.the new operator asking for bill copy of current operator..Can u explain why in postpaid Bill Copy need in MNP ??

They need copy because May be they have to check how is your usage & your performance of bill payment

And who is that operator asking such thing.?

Don't handover original bill. Share a photo copy with sign mentioning the purpose on the photo copy.

One of the reason could be to double sure the number which you are porting belongs to your name or not. And also to know the exact amount which needs to be recovered incase you dont make payment. But there is no solid reason for which a bill is required.

Nop that's total BS. Bill copy is never required. I have ported almost 10 postpaid numbers and bill copy is never required. I have even ported number on someone else's name to my name. They just ask you to clear all the dues with your last operator. Because if there is any dues your MNP will he automatically rejected by the donor operator.

That's why I asked which operator is this. Because even I have never been asked to preset a postpaid bill

Even i ported my postpaid number from Vodafone to airtel and no one ask for bill copy.... Only ur due shud be cleared.
