Zee Media’s business news channel in planning stage

Zee Media Corporation Ltd (ZMCL) is planning to launch a new business news channel, chief executive officer Ashish Kirpal Pandit has revealed. “We are in a planning and setting-up stage right now. As things stabilise and as we firm up our plans, we will certainly let you know,” Pandit told CNBC TV18. Incidentally, ZMCL had earlier stated that it will weigh new channel launches or expand through acquisitions, which it believes will enhance the company’s business, revenues and profitability. “We believe that the strength of our brand and existing relationships and goodwill will help the company in executing its acquisition strategy more effectively,” ZMCL said in its draft letter of offer filed with the market regulator Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) for a rights issue.

I think its late for Zee to launch eng channels.....CNBC is big brand & making big moollah........Don't know how they would compete with Times & CNBC......

Zee News was use to launch as a English channel only then it became Hinglish and then completely turned to Hindi channel.
