Asianet Bharthi???
Yes Asianet Bharati & Asianet Kaveri was 50:50 JV between Asianet and Zee.
But thanks to Zee's miscalculation they parted ways and bought just 50% of the Asianet share in the JV. And then the channels were renamed as Alpha Kannada & Alpha Tamil which was later renamed to Zee Kannada & Zee Tamil respectively.
Asianet which already owned Malayalam Channel on its own launched Suvarna for Kannada. Later Suvarna Plus and Asianet Plus were launched
All 4 was later acquired by Star and today Asianet is the undisputed leader of Malayalam market.
