Following the exit of Namit Sharma in April this year, Zee TV has done away with the post of programming head. Now it has a fiction and a non-fiction head, with both reporting to business head Pradeep Hejmadi. Since the exit of Sharma in April, Hejmadi had been minding the channel’s programming functions. Zee TV has roped in former Star Plus VP for weekend programming Zulfia Waris to head the non-fiction side. Confirming the news to TelevisionPost.com, Waris stated that at Zee TV she is required to introduce and develop new formats, revamp the present non-fiction properties of the channel, and build on events and other new properties.
