Thanks for the update Technoglitch bro

But i didn't understand why they removed Dolby Feeds for this UHD test

UHD testing was on 11483V tp.... They moved all existed channels from that tp to other TPs.... Then to accommodate the moved channels in other TPs they removed DD to reduce some bandwidth.I think like that.

So, basically what we were talking about one blank transponder is confusing.

We now know that 1 UHD channel = 2 or 3 HD channel space. So, they were having space from DNN HD, 3D active and some more from Dolby feeds.

So, they were not having a full transponder of space. Right?

1 UHD= 4 HD space (with H.264 coding in both), but with HEVC (H.265) we will need 64% bits compared to H.264.

Now 1UHD Space (@H.265)= (64/100)*4 HD space (@H.264) =2.56 HD space

So 5 UHD channels can be added in 1TP.

Now come to that uhd testing day by d2h.
They made a blank tp 11483v for that particular day only for uhd testing by moving existed channels out of it to other tps without dd in moved channels.

I think the reason is that: Its not possible to add H264 and H.265 coding in same tp or they need more work on it in coming days.
Also this uhd testing is a new launch in any dth, so to avoid any unlikely events to other channels in same tp they made a precaution.

good calculations bro.yeah I've too read somewhere that with HEVC(may be with H.264 or latest version)1UHD consumes 1/4 of total HD space or HEVC does the compression by 4times out of current HD space.

With very good and stunning UHD.h265 quality u need 2 to 2.5 HD.h264 space.

With normal UHD quality it requires similar in 1.5 to 2 HD space only.

If the h265 compatibility STB price is reduced they can use this h265 coding in SD and HD. They can add 120 SD channels in 1tp or 30 HD channels in 1tp. So that 10 tp can accommodate 300 HD channels or 1200 SD channels. Looks pretty good technology. Isn't it ??
