I dont see anything wrong in this, analog cable was profitable because they gives signal to double of customer and pays very less to broadcaster but now due to digitization customer number are very clear. As per report cable industry contribute only 40% revenue of broadcaster with holding double customer base than DTH which contribute 60% revenue.

in cities, cable were provided all channels only for Rs. 200 but now cant provide channels on this price but customer are customer, very difficult to manage them, many people are saying we dont want stb with high price pack, we are happy with old method.

That's why still black money and piracy is happening. Once analog signal are switched off all these issues will be resolved and Poor will stop watching TV due to high subscription charges.

I have seen small villages where even huts have DTH connections. And more often than not, they even have the 'higher' packages! For most of them, the TV is their only source of entertainment.
