Congrats on your rooting. Now install xposed installer and disable apps which you don't need and I don't think you can remove previously installed apps from rom but you sure disable.

Once phone is rooted, any app can be removed. Disabling apps work even without rooting.

As far as what I have gathered from this discussion as well as searching over the Internet - I need to follow these steps-
1. Download and copy CM 10.2 to my phone's internal memory.
2.Go into recovery mode and do a nandroid backup.
3.Wipe data and data partition
4.Install CM 10.2
5.Install gapps
6.Reboot system
7.Restore from titanium backup.

Right? Now my doubt is when I wipe data, even the zip files copied to internal memory will be gone! Or is it like I am planning it wrong way?

It is recommended to copy to your sd card rather than internal memory.

Before falshing gapps check with rom in forum it may be already with gapps.

Before restoring your titanium back check the app is compatible with your flashed rom or it will cause lags or some other issues.

I am not sure your internal copied zip will be present or no. So only they recommend to copy to sd card. I always copy zip to external sd card. I also recommend you to copy all your imp files to your sd card also like contacts. You already have titanium back but I always have in my sd card also.

Yes, Some of the apps might not work with this ROM.

Also no harm flashing gaaps as it will automatically show all google apps update from playstore.

But you did not clear my doubts about saving zip files in internal memory. Won't they get deleted when I perform factory reset before flashing?
