Discussion Digital Cable TV Vs DTH

For me DTH is better because still analog cable here in my area.

After experiencing Digital Cable then i can decide between the two

DTH is costly no doubt but its hassle free atleast need not to face the monthly jhanjhat.

Users also not effected from State Govenment Bans on channels.

Tilgana State have forced Cable operators to Black Out two channels ABN and Tv9

So all cable users are deprived from those channels but DTH users are enjoying without any interruption

Both have cons and benefits with them.

On Cable users can get more regional channels according to their area and during heavy rains no interruption

PQ is better on DTHs and hassle free entertainment

This media blackout is being taken seriously by new I&B minister. Investigation is on and we may soon hear some strong decision over this blackout.

I haven't faced any problems with cable from last 20 years or so. I couldn't see any advantage with DTH when compared with my cable guy offerings except AQ. So I prefer Cable......

My Vote for DTH, even thought its pricey have good PQ & AQ. Can pay for what we need to watch and monies worth.

DTH is a way to expensive than Digital Cable. If Digital Cable is offered with good quality of service, there is no competition to it , at least in cities. No signal outage in rain, incredible channel bandwidth, affordable cost are some of great features of Digital Cable. But I wasn't impressed with STB quality and and UI at all, on Siti Digital New Delhi. It was really of poor quality, the software of STB didn't even have the original IST time and was running slow.

For quality service and a lot better picture quality and audio quality , I will go with DTH for now.
