1.Microsoft excluded the purchase of chennai plant due to taxation issues
2.Microsoft then cancelled the agreement on purchasing the mobiles from nokia
These are the reasons for the closure of the plant and from early this year, around 5000 employees were given VRS and only 1000 employees are left as of now.
