Honestly , Videocon d2h has become very over confident with all the success they have achieved, they have showed ''don't care a damn'' towards improving quality be it of Software, STB, Customer Care etc. Mark My Words, if they do not improve then they will sink at a even faster rate than they have risen. They should learn about maintaining Quality Standards . Another thing which is leading to the poor STB Quality and its persistent among all DTH ops is the fact that to keep pricing down, these DTH ops have started buying very low quality Chinese/Korean STB's. I got Airtel HD STB last month under Rs. 599 upgrade scheme and the STB Quality is not good, its so small, weighs not more than 200 grams, remote has become half the size and many keys like guide r not there too, picture and sound quality is not as good as compared to the Technicolor or Kaonmedia STB's they provided earlier
Anyways Videocon d2h should start with hiring good software engineers, the software of Videocon d2h is poor, laggy and makes STB hang etc. We as customers should also support good quality even if we have to pay a little more otherwise this will continue

So everyone must follow this methodLast year when my box too show blank screen during winter and was not properly working. I pull off all the wires from it and quietly put STB in the Terrace 2 - 3 times and its start working fine
