It's nothing but lack of knowledge and empathy.

According to some north indies, entire people from south india are termed as Madarasis, they dont know that four states are there.

they are right,after Maharashtra the next region is call as madharas (more than 100 years).and then spitted it to Tamil nadu ,andhra + karnadaka (neejaam).
