Sony Pal and Zindagi launched in all the platform even in Hathway Jabalpur too and also because it's a GEC channel so carriage fee plays the part. Its what EPIC's thinking where too launch and where not too. If Broadcasters pays for then what's the problem of operator to carries it.
Dont compare all channels.every channels has its own strategy.So It is broadcasters wish where they can talk and where they dont.And carriage fee wont applicable to all channels if TRP is good then broadcasters wont give any money to any service.But I am not denying it that Epic is not giving carriage fee to any DTH.but I think other DTH has put the condition that if they want to add this channel Epic wont talk with Dish TV.I am seeing the only this reason unavailability of epic channel on dish TV.
How Sony rift with Dish TV will justify here?And how many new channels are available as ala carte is dish tv??it is purely broadcasters wish to make their channel as ala carte.So There is no problem with ala carte.Epic clearly knows that ala carte wont be work it our for them because their channels is new born baby and they even dont know haw many people will like their content. What my view is ev ery time all other DTHs (major 3 DTH)are might be putting condition that Epic do not go to dish tv then only all other 3 DTH will add this channel if not only Dish TV will have this and other are not.So Might be Epis has chosen 3 DTHs and not dish tv.

Not exactly. There are good shows.But not that great to be watched on a HD channel.
And not to forget that the shows on this channel may not attract everyone because these shows cater to a specific audience....like we say, class appeal, not mass appeal.
Can't see why it is needed to be on dishtv to be able to be EPIC? Come on bro-its available on 4 DTHs out of 7....and a host of digital cable services.And dishtv never adds a. El channel until about a couple of months.Have seen it before.
I am sorry to disagree with you.Why are you blaming the broadcaster alone.Even dishtv might be at fault.Colors when launched was made available on all DTHs at that time, but it was added only after months of protest and demands by viewers-that too only as A la carte.Was it Colors' fault? Same thing happened with imagine and 9X- even if these channels have shutdown now -they were most in demand and popular channels in those days.
