Here is a Interesting factor in Recieving Signals from Gsat 10 and Insat 4A.
We need bigger dish for G Sat 10 to get very good signals than Insat 4A .
See the Reception details of Both. As in Satbeams.com

do not comment without knowing mr. shenoy, recommended dish size info tells abt dish size all require for getting good signals. for g sat 10 it says 55 cm is min required, tata sky gives 60 cm dish and it is installed for all customers already

The recommended dish size given in satbeams for NSS11 china beam is 110 cm ~ 42 dbW
But I ve managed to get those signals on a 78 cm airtel dish, though the signals only come during night time. :p

I think some off u didnt get what i posted. :p
Insat have good Signals and powerfull as written in Satbeams Compared to G SAT have less powerfull and needs bigger dish size.
I am not talking about the size of Dish provided by Tatasky. dont interpret it wrongly.. Not misleading post sure.

Bro.. I think those size is to get Maximum signals in ur location. Thats their calculations.

Sir,u have noticed very intetsting factor.
Actually in satellite,, EIRP: Effective Isotropic Radiated Power,
In simple lang, when we increses the value of eirp then the dish size will be decreases.
Why we increases or decerease the eirp: when the eirp will high then transponder will take more power to amplify & transmitt the signals with that it will increase the required power for operations but dish size willbe small.
If the kept eirp low then the dish size will be increases but the required operational power willbe low then it will gud for satellite because power/fuel is the life of satellite.

Btw, low eirp of gsat is not metter of worry because in ku we all have the 60cm dish & in c band it will not increase dish size too much.
