When not watching, simply switch it off......when some recording is scheduled then keep it in stand by mode...

switching sTB on and off frequently leads to fault, so it is better to keep it on standby.
Anirudha bro, electricity consumption is low on standby so no problem in keeping the stb in standby mode.
Prashanth N , you should able to record even on standby mode, if not log a complaint with the CC.

Infact i never switch off my DVR and its always on Standby mode when i am not watching. Reason is i schedule recording from anywhere like from their website or from their mobile app.

Also, as Technoglitch bro said, electricity consumption is very less when TV or STB is in standby mode.

Its very good feature for DVR......any way good info for me......I switch off & on the STB+TV atleast 8 times in a day....will have to consider this now......

It is official, the Arion HD box does not support recording in standby mode.

But it works on the Zenega HD box.
