Update D2H DVR GUI Changed - New Software Installed

But why it needs a tech visit to update.....? They cann't push the update via sat.....?

The software in 160 GB DVR is so outdated that OTA versions might get conflict and could go fatal. So, for such issues custom firmware is made and updated through USB.

This applies for all electronics things whether its TV, Blu-Ray or STB.

Yes, running smooth till now. While upgrade all my favourites and other settings remain intact...channel change is little fast...haven't noticed channel skip issue till now which was there in earlier GUI...boot has become strange where DOS kind of black screen comes saying way for 30 sec...
