wht can star do, they have bought rights at such rates bcoz of money suckers at bcci, they have to recover all that. plus running hd channel is very costly

Dino bhai, What Star gets from Operators is only 20-30% . Remaining amount is earned from Advertisers. So, its better they should concentrate on Sponsors than screwing customer by putting Operators in a Sinking Boat.

Yes ofcourse. Bcoz after digitization, Broadcasters will have more accurate subscriber data and they will be able to keep track on all sorts or piracy. So, filling leakage of revenue will definitely help them in profitability.

Honestly around 42 crore or more for a day of International Indian cricket is hilarious let alone outragious.
Sony was closer to that bid amount too.But ESPN Star have always fought with MSO.s and cable operators.
