Yes. That's why Microsoft has tied up with every brand to offer OS by pre-installing into most of the computers.

I think currently only 3 in 1 PC provides branded OS.

If you buy a branded laptop or desktop, it's genuine OS mostly.
But if you assemble one, you will get pirated mostly.

Well Some Branded laptops come with free dos. I have a thinkpad came with free DOS.

yes....I think you can insist on providing Windows free PC from the vendor................or atleast demand discount.....
I think European countries fined companies like Microsoft & Intel for dominating & blackmailing PC vendors for forcing them to pre-install WIndows OS.............
