Bro. TRAI has issued for commercial interoperability which means

Commercial interoperability provides for an exit option to a subscriber in case he wishes to change the operator and avail the services from another DTH operator for any reason.

Couple of question on this scheme, I bought dishtv 5 years ago at say price of Rs. 3000 then I upgraded to Rs. 990 dish + box then now recently I bought dish tru HD + box for Rs. 599 so if return my box then how much refund I will get ?

Also I have to Rs. 250 for service will they will no longer charge service tax extra ? or if Tax is inclusive then whats the guarantee that this Rs. 250 amount will remain forever ?

Also how I will moved to other company by purchasing the new connection from dealer ? Then how it is known as Portability ?

what is the cost of HD box for new subscribers? The amount would be calculated in that basis and i think rs.1000 refund.
rs.300 is the price inclusive of tax for returning the CPE now.

you can move to other company just by returning the hardwares and no longer entitled to keep it at home.

First of all it depend that how you purchased the box. Outright or on rental. If outright then only refund applicable on STB. If you are on rental no refund for hardware and you have to submit the hardware to get recharge amount refunded.

First of all it depend that how you purchased the box. Outright or on rental. If outright then only refund applicable on STB. If you are on rental no refund for hardware and you have to submit the hardware to get recharge amount refunded.

No one knows in which basis dishtv selling HD box at Rs. 599 tats a reason in that order its clearly written that there is no transparency in DTH policies.

If they are selling boxes below Rs 2000, then assume that they are on rental basis and no refund will be given for hardware.

then question arise will I able to use my current DTH's customer no. into other DTH ? If not then will my DTH able to sell my Customer number to other user ?

No. Nothing will go from one DTH to another DTH except your invested money.

yes, they would sell the no to other users just like mob no if not used for more than a year.

Now all the DTHs are selling the boxes on rental basis only.
