HELP How to Use Videocon D2H STB as FTA Receiver ?

You can't bro. d2h box can't be used as FTA receiver because it has been programmed to receive only d2h relayed channels.

suppose d2h removes a ch and ur stb is in stand by or off mode then after switching on stb, the removed ch will appear for 30 or 40 mins and will then disappear from ur stb.
same happens when new ch is added, if a ch is added and ur stb is in standby or off then when u switch on stb the new ch will appear only after 30 mins or 40 mins
if a new ch has replaced an older ch then the new ch will appear on the lcn slot of slot of old ch for 40 mins and then come to original place

this is all bcoz d2h stb quality is inferior and it is slow

Previously there was an option to scan FTA channels too but later on when d2h officials realized the bug, they locked all STB with Firmware update.

Regarding option of adding and removing Satellites, it default option present in all Firmwares and is being used by company technicians for testing purpose.

i think its related to SW of STB. U can see instant addition and removal of channels in TS STB. no need to scan or restart. I dont know how it works with ADTV as same Encryption but in other we has to do mannualy as i seen many posts in forums. Also know whats happening in Dish TV, Sun Direct. I think RDTV too has to be restarted to get new channels.

Its just a cache dump. Nothing Else and it can't be even considered as bug.

Old STBs which didnt updated yet u can recive or edit the TP to get FTA Channels. i think the SW Of STB can be downgraded . if it happen then we can watch FTA Channels.

Sir but for that we would require the Old version software and which is impossible to acquire.

Yes we need Old SW. I think its available in few local Electronic stores . I dont know we can downgrade in D2H STB but its working in Dish TV sure.
