News 11-year-old thrashed by school principal for ‘stealing’ pencil, eraser; dies

An 11-year-old student lost his life on Wednesday after being thrashed by the principal over alleged theft of a pencil and eraser in Barabanki school, said a report.

The incident occurred after a complaint of theft was made to the principal of Rahelamau Academy and he ordered search of all bags.

After the recovery of the items from the bag of the victim Shiva, he was beaten by the principal Lalit Verma.

When Shiva reached home he complained of stomach pain and vomiting and his parents brought him to Fatehpur where he was brought dead.
