News Clashes in J&K's Tral over killing of youth, protesters snatch AK-47; Yasin Malik detained

Separatist leaders Yasin Malik and Masarat Alam were detained on Tuesday while they were on their way to Tral district of South Kashmir where protests broke out over the killing of a youth. Two people have been injured in clashes between protesters and security forces.

During the clash, protesters reportedly snatched an AK-47 rifle of a CRPF soldier.

Protests broke out after a youth was killed in a shootout between the Army and terrorists but his relatives have accused the Army of a fake encounter. Police claimed that they got to know the youth had terror links and was meeting a top Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist.
