With speculations rife on who will lead the Congress, senior party leader and Thiruvananthapuram MP Shashi Tharoor said a generational change in the party is inevitable. Even though party leaders are tight-lipped on when Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi will be elevated and take over the reigns of the party from her mother Sonia Gandhi, all efforts are being put in to change his image and make him acceptable to all sections in the party.
"The generational change in Congress is inevitable. Rahul Gandhi is ready to lead the party," Tharoor told CNN-IBN.
