Come 17 May, TravelXP will sport a new look and logo. The channel, which claims more than 20 million viewers in India from the premium niche category, will also unveil its new theme. It has divided the content into six distinct genres—food, culture, nature, heritage, lifestyle, and destination. “It is not just a revamp. We are going for a new and fresh look starting 17 May. We have divided the entire travel genre in six different themes, which will be shown via six different colours,” said TravelXP MD Nisha Chothani. While the new logo will be white in colour, symbolising the convergence of different colours, the six main genres have been given six different colours based on the concept of colour psychology.
4K programming
Chothani said that the channel has started shooting in 4K or ultra HD format and that some shows will be available in 4K by the last quarter of the year. “Travel genre looks awesome in 4K; it is a great combination. So, we decided to start shooting some programmes, which are currently in production stage. One of the series is almost done,” she added.
