5% is very very high bro... but if it fixed on % basis then people won't earn on trading basis they ll earn only on % of the increased prices or vice versa which i think ll b a great news if it gets implemented.

bcoz poor won't use petrol. poor definition acc. to indian law ll not allow them to purchase the petrol n they rely on kerosene prices which is subsidized 4 them.

Price hike in diesel will hike the transport costly not only food and vegetables but travelling become costly, 3 years ago Auto used to charge Rs. 5 for 5 - 6 km now charging Rs. 8 and you knows Auto in small cities we have to travels it like sheeps and goat. So headache for us by price hike in Diesel.

I don't understand why Jaitely not able to find the mechanism to charge Rs. 100 to SUVs and Car owners and Rs. 50 to Transports, we strictly need this law.

Or govt can impose 25% levy on SUVs which are, say costs 20+ lakhs...
Rich people can be made to pay more for using SUVs....

Yeah whatever needs to be done since in US now SUVs and 4 wheelers are engine are changing because of their latest invention.
