Awesome news. High time that big and established regional channels launch HD chs.
Regional market will have less HD chs but surely wherever there is a matured regional channel market , there we will see launch of HD channels. Malayalam, kannada, telugu, tamil r surely the key markets where HD chs will come up more n more as there is an audience for HD chs in these markets and there r big broadcasters who run many chs in these regions.
While for Gujarati, Bhojpuri, North Eastern etc. regions, HD channels won't be launched at least in the near future as per my thinking

Next in Tamil would be star Vijay HD or jaya TV HD.

Yup, programs are in full hd andbnew movies are in full HD while old ones are upscaled. They are themselves converting old titles to HD
