In India, Govt never brings reform unless someone whose gonna be benefited come forwards and bribe the government.

Same has happened in case of digitization. Why would government require digitization ?? It was required by Operators itself. Dish TV took the initiative as they are having deep Political and Industrial contacts and mooted govt for digitization.

And they also made all operators mutually agreeable as everyone would be getting a larger pie from the shares of Cable TV.

So, Some areas are leading by Airtel whereas other areas by Dish Tv , Tata Sky and Videocon d2h. Its a mutual sharing bro

Adtv is popular among young people, Sun direct among family members.
Even SCV is enjoying monopoly but other mso couldnt sustain due to LCOs in chennai.
