More distribution, the merrier it is. I am talking about any major impact which wouldn't happen. Broadcasters have agreements with even smallest LCO's
Smallest LCO may not charge a lot whereas Tata Sky charges a lot of carriage fee.
As you only have mentioned distribution is very key for success of any channel. More platforms they reach, they will generate more revenue

Tata Sky is the 2nd biggest Giant in DTH. So, your logic of no impact in viewership is illogical.

In DTH, but in overall Cable and Satellite homes market that share is negligible. Also infact DTH Market comprises of a very small segment if customers, still majority connections r cable that too analogue. Also in that DTH share too , half subscribers r inactive
