i have been saying it long time, it is time to create a HD base pack alone.
Shutting down SD feed will only tricked it. Because launching HD feeds is just a way to earn by increasing the bouqet price. This is the opportunity of both broadcaster and operator to earn by tie in each others hand. If operator thinks to provide only HD bouqet then surely they will end up by loosing contract.

You should consider the factor that many of us although owning HD ready tv, still we watch only SD channels and watching cam print on tv. So at present the ops and content providers are bundling the feeds for all.

If that happens then u will havs to pay double or even triple with less number of chs than what u get today. HD chs r costly and right now u r getting them at throwaway prices as some cost is absorbed by the corresponding sd channel for which u pay.
