Jagmohan Dalmiya, President of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was on Thursday admitted to a hospital here after he suffered a serious heart attack.
Dalmiya was rushed to Kolkata's BM Birla hospital after a massive cardiac arrest.
Dalmiya, a veteran administrator, attributed to commercializing BCCI, has not been keeping well for a while. He has not been seen at public events for quite some time.
Many in the board have expressed their concern over his inability to conduct business and feel that he should step down from the post.
75-year-old Dalmiya returned as BCCI chief after a gap of 10 years. He was replaced by Sharad Pawar who ended his dominion in the cricket board.
