Indian opening batsman Virender Sehwag has called it quits from international cricket in Dubai on Monday, a day before his 37th birthday. He has represented India in 104 Tests, 251 ODIs and 19 T20Is in his international career that began in 1999.

Sehwag, representing Haryana in the ongoing Ranji Trophy season, scored a crucial half-century against his former team Delhi.

Sehwag was known to be fearless batsman even in Test matches. He has Sehwag scored 8586 runs, including 23 centuries, from 104 Tests at an average of 49.34. Sehwag holds the records for scoring the fastest triple century in 274 balls.

The opener has 8273 runs from 251 ODIs at an average of 35.05. He along with Sachin Tendulkar demolished made a good opening pair for team India
