Till now I didn't understood how these ratings are calculated. So, I can't even say whether the data is right or wrong

in tamil nadu where digitization dint take place then how sun tv became no. 1 ?
if all 10 crore tamilians wud watch tv then also it cannot become no.1 ?

Now tell me who ll watch star sports 1 in rural areas where english hardly speak.
so people ll watch ss 3 or ss1.

N also in urban area where people speak english, then also viewership of ss 3 is higher than ss1 n in those areas where people can't speak english there ss 1 is the most watchable sports channel.

SS 1 is popular because it is the oldest among the other sister channels and mostly people prefer to watch commentary on the English only.

in wc too ss 3 was the most watchable channel than all the other 4 channels where wc matches were telecasted
people prefer to watch the matches in hindi

With the release of the All India data, BARC India has expanded its reach to 153.5 million TV households, representing All India and all modes of signal. Of this 77.5 million are urban TV households and 76 million are rural TV households. BARC India will now be reporting Megacities, 10-75 lakh towns, less than 10 lakh urban areas and rural.

The BARC India survey shows that lesser time is spent on TV in rural areas. Two in five rural audiences fall in the NCCS AB category, rural India gives younger audiences in the age group of 15-40 years. Last but not the least, with rural India’s ‘Early to bed and Early to rise’ philosophy, the conventional definition of prime time for channels may change.

the viewership is scattered among the hindi GECs and here the viewership is not scattered. that is the reason.
we r 100 crores. is it a joke ?
100 crores divide into three parts then also it cannot b possible.
sun tv is at no. 1 ? then y not in urban ratings ?
