News Online petition seeks cancellation of Anna University semester exams

A petition started by the 'AntiExam Community' on the online platform change.org has urged Anna University authorities to cancel all semester exams in view of the damage caused by rain and floods.

The petition that was started on Wednesday garnered more than 22,000 supporters in a day.

The petition states: "With the never stopping rain and floods that have surrounded Chennai and other districts, disturbed the daily regime of the citizens, conditions for the students also has become pathetic. Already the exams that were scheduled to be held from November 16 to 28 are postponed. Many students are not able to concentrate and many have lost their study materials in floods. It is also difficult for the students to travel to their colleges and also to arrange for food accommodations. Please consider this request and officials should take needed actions."

'AntiExam Community' is apparently a creation of some students studying either at Anna University or affiliated colleges.

Instead of cancelling the exam they should urge college to help in study material and other study related helps.

They can request college and universities to help them with study material instead of cancelling the exams. These are those failures who haven't prepared and don't care even if a year is wasted.

The current exam is postponed and the upcoming exams are from mon and i dont believe the students losing the study materials, they would touch the books the day before the exam or on the eve of the exam .
