Hello all.
I am planning to buy an HD DTH/Cable TV connection.
Though, my prime inclination is towards DTH providers, but as I'm in transferable job, I like to keep things simple and DTH due to its antenna seems like a mess to me.
So, my question is:
1.How much good/bad are digital cable operators? To be specific, Siti Cable, Patna.
2. Will it be a good idea to go with Siti Cable instead of DTH? Will it be a lot trade off of quality (I have 32 inch HD ready Sony LED TV)?
3. How much HD channels do Siti cable have and is it worth to to have an HD connection?

I'm all confused on this. What you all say?

As you are in a transferable job it is advisable to go with DTH, you can stay with the same service provider where ever you in India, digital cable does not have this advantage.

Correct. But, there are cable service providers, who provide their services in a large part of India, if not all over. And, I am not contemplating going to such rural or remote areas.
Siti cable, I think has a wide network. Isn't it?

Hathway, DEN, In Cable, Siti.... have their presence in many states especially in large cities.

Digital cables have presence however it depends on area where you locate as well. Suppose you have been subscriber of Siti cable in X city and if you move to Y city and in your locality the LCO has tie up with Hathway then you will need to either port your stb with Hathway or buy a new stb every time you move to new location.

If You are subscribe to DTH, the operator remains the same and you just need to provide your relocated address and installation charges for your services to restart. You just need to carry the stb and dish.

DTH is the right option. Reloaction charges in DTH r much low as compared to buying new digital cable stb everytime u relocate to a new location as siti cable may not be present there and same appliea for every MSO.

DTH is pan india service and u would be in benefit if u opt for it
