ok. now i understood.
tv is 1080i.
stb is also 1080i. so if i select 576i or 1080 i does not matter bcoz stb is configured like that only.
but it is very strange bcoz hdmi is showing 576i when i select 576i n hdmi is showing 1080i when i m selecting 1080i
so one can get 1080i in 576i also.

I don't know Bro. in dishtv you can't watch SD channels from HDMI, I am not sure about other DTH.

then how do u watch normal channels ? with a/v cables ?

no bro. resolution is 16:9 only with no cut in any channel.

Bro, picture quality depends on msny factors viz a viz stb output, tv resolution scaling, broadcaster relay, quality of produced content etc.

Nope. If you give a 4K output from a STB to a CRT then it won't be a 4K kinda PQ on TV bro.

However if you give a 4K Output from a 4K STB then even if you select 576 on STB, PQ will be same like 4K because both STB and TV are capable of 4K quality,

if hd is 100 then sd is 80. is it ok bhai ?

so if u watching star plus hd n then u wanted to watch a news channels
so u have to select a/v in tv n then again hdmi for the same. 10-15 baar toh karna hi padta hoga.
