ok. now i understood.
tv is 1080i.
stb is also 1080i. so if i select 576i or 1080 i does not matter bcoz stb is configured like that only.
but it is very strange bcoz hdmi is showing 576i when i select 576i n hdmi is showing 1080i when i m selecting 1080i
so one can get 1080i in 576i also.

Nope. If you give a 4K output from a STB to a CRT then it won't be a 4K kinda PQ on TV bro.

However if you give a 4K Output from a 4K STB then even if you select 576 on STB, PQ will be same like 4K because both STB and TV are capable of 4K quality,

bhai ji one more q - how much is the difference between sd n its hd version ?
i m getting 80-100 : sd-hd difference

But who said to take output from TV it will compress any quality.
