Seems like Airtel didn't change resolution from HDMI because in dishtv we can change resolution by giving inputs which you're mentioning.

The same is available on tata sky too

have u checked sd channel of ur lg tv ? lg tv mein hdmi normal channel mein bhi 1080i dikhati h.

Bro, hd stb upscales every SD channel whicg is carried to tv thru hdmi cable and the tv further does resolution scaling

Yeah but in dishtv you can't watch SD channels via HDMI because of sharpness.

Can SD channels have resolution of 1080p ? Yeh toh dishtv bhi nahi kar paya.

1080 p nahi but yes 1080 i india mein ho sakte h. hdmi 1080i ka hi output de raha h even on sd channels.

first u shud check ur lg tv. hdmi mein kya output dikhata h sd channels par
mere lg mein toh 1080 i hi dikhata h
