Netflix entering India is a win-win situation for users, and looks like the affects have started surfacing. Tata Sky has announced that its Everywhere TV service that allows streaming TV channels will be made available for free to all users.

The Everywhere TV was launched back in 2013 and integrated into Tata Sky’s app. Users had to shell out Rs 60 per month to access the service. Users can access the service via the official app and will need to sign up with the registed mobile number or Tata Sky account.

The Tata Sky Everywhere TV comes with an intuitive interface. It will allow users to check the timings for TV shows on various channels and choose a program that you wish to see. Tata Sky’s Everywhere TV can be accessed on up to two devices per subscriber ID. It offers Hindi as well as English content including entertainment, news, sports and so on.

I don't know why these media are correlating baseless logic. Everywhere TV and Netflix are two different things. If one is north hemisphere then another is south have hemisphere.

One is providing channel content. Another is providing Hollywood and bollywood.

Kuch bhi likhte hai jhandu media wale.

Everywhere TV is free but other DTH Players are still keeping their Mobile TV app pricy. TATA and Sky both are masters in their fields. Netflix might be new to India but it had already been there like in UK and European countries plus other parts of the world where Sky is operating. So they know how to deal with it . Netflix has to keep their price structure down because at 650 HD plan people can also subscribe to HD TV Channels which doesn't use Internet. Nowadays many english channels are getting competitive and bringing latest content. For example Latest season of Modern Family by Star World Premium . Infact Colors Infinity HD has already broadcasted Orange is the new black which is a netflix production.
Everywhere TV is definitely a welcoming move by Tata Sky and it has increased my loyalty to Sky brand. There was a time when due to space crunch Tata Sky was not able to add HD Channels. While some customers were anxious enough to switch to other DTH Companies i was confident on the ability of Tata Sky. Now they have 51 HD Channels and more are in pipeline. Some of the English HD Channels were first debuted on Tata Sky. We can expect more good things to come this year. I think Netflix has to work really hard to lure indian viewers. They should definitely take a hint from Apple Music which is having a different and much cheaper subscription price than US. Another thing is content. Family Guy is not present in India while if you check it through VPN it is available in US. I don't think that currently DTH Companies have to worry about because most of the Indians prefer to watch News channels and shows in hindi etc. after a day of work. Middle class may not to choose to pay 650 for Netflix HD plus extra broadband price to handle it. With services like Hotstar and Everywhere TV the company really knows how to reach the masses.
