Krishadasi was based on a book written by Indra Soundarajan. Kutty Padmini had bought the rights and adapted it into a television serial. The series was aired in 2000. The story revolves around a Dasi girl, who is on the lookout for her father. The Hindi version is set to the Maharashtraian culture and will be directed by Amit Mallik and Ashish Srivatsav & will be overseen by Kutty Padmini. Actor and RJ Sana Amin Sheikh will play the lead role. The show will be aired from January 25, between Monday to Friday at 10.30 pm
