They have added 40 HD channels with the back up plan intact. But after that a number of HD channels have been launched and d2h has failed to add them, because that back up plan would have been compromised.

Now they are adding 4 new HD channels, probably because the process of using new TPs is towards its conclusion, and its safe for them to add new channels, as new TPs will be activated soon.

i do not think so. they will not get new tps sooner.

ESPN HD will be for football mainly, SPN has the rights for 2 major European football leagues, which definitely needs more channels..

Plus the launch date is Jan 17, the Australian Open starts the next day, which will have simultaneous matches and matches in the morning session will start while NBA is going on on Six HD..
