i never had that problem as we stayed in top floor.And a race also whose Antenna will be on Top among neighbours. And my Antenna used to capture lots of Kites for me

Shanthi was a day time and first mega serial if im not wrong. DD is to be blamed for todays mega serial on satellite channels.

I think we are the last generation in the earth who watched B&W TV,Doordhashan,pager,Mobile to DTH,Smart phone ETC.

When Zee started off the DTH service it did cost Rs. 7000 or so. The pack cost was Rs. 100 for 50 channels or so.I had dropped the idea of going for dishtv because of the high price and had opted for DD Direct plus even before it was launched officially, but pilot transmission was available. Even that had cost me Rs 4000 then!

When DTH introduced(I did't remeber it is from Dish TV or not) in India the price was 1,25,ooo.That time cost was very high.And that time Europe channels(adult content) was came threw DTH.That time no censor in India.Lot of complaints gone to GOVT but that time GOVT not able to do anything.later DTH industry grown and censor also came in to picture.
