HELP Need a DTH connection !

Wishing every member a very good morning. I'm still a subscriber of cable TV under CAS zone which is likely to shift over to DAS. Still no information regarding new channel packages etc from my cable operator or MSO. I was seriously considering to switch over to Dth but I'm totally confused as to which HD dth to choose in Kolkata to get all sports & Bengali channels at an economical price of around 300-350.

welcome brother,for economic and number of Bengali SD channels go with videocon D2h,all sports HD channels available on D2h.

Thanx brother. But is it true that d2h hd stb has some technical issues from which most of the customers aren't satisfied. It's just a query I don't want to malign any operator.

problem only with HD DVR,we cant give any assurance about Hardware issues,but new STB's are better than last year(up to 2012 middle ) STBs.regarding HD stb quality just wait for D2H user comments.

Hi Surajit

You can go for d2h ...... it is the best available in terms of channel packaging and cost .....
The only rider is the stb quality on offer by d2h which I feel can be better, I had 4 HD stb replaced in a span of 20 days post installation ..... their service is good and they do get the complain resolved on time.

I am happy with d2h hd overall and prior to this I was using tatasky since 2007

As people bro said, newer DVR are better than previous one's but not fully advanced. There are still bugs and i have seen lot of people complaining on their social media regarding automatic deletion of recording.

So, if your desired channels are available on other DTH operators, then go for Tata Sky or Airtel because their DVR are advanced and web supportive.

Otherwise you can opt for d2h DVR too.
