Mr.Bhat Sir
Please explain that this WIFI option will now allow directing connectivity with Wifi Router
Or
We have to attach external Wifi dongal to connect with Wifi Router like previous practice
I think if ur Modem is Type 2 ie: Wifi enabled then it should allow direct connectivity. I feel that STB have the required Hardware - Modem is inside as it works on Ethernet cable.
If built in wifi is available, I am not sure why Tata Sky asked its customers to buy NetGear wifi router? See this page: HD DVR | Tata Sky+ HD | VOD
It says "if you use broadband, through Wi-Fi, you can access Video on Demand through our Wi-Fi solution by connecting the Netgear Wi-Fi device to your Tata Sky+ HD Set Top Box. The Netgear device has Wi-Fi capability and connects directly with your Wi-Fi router, thus removing the hassle of long wires. "
I was not aware of this , If so u might have to buy 1 .
Also to know that now the STB is enabled Wifi , so any one can try without using Netgear. bcoz this ad was older i think. at that time Wifi was not enabled in STBs
After this recent software upgrade to my HD+ box ...i am encountering a small issue i.e., when i am watching a recorded stuff for some of the SD channels when i press the rewind button for 2 secs space it immediately moves back to 15 - 20 secs from current viewing rather than 2 secs...does any body else using HD+ facing the same issue...for sure it happens in HBO channel...
