out of 59 movies he made 11 remakes , other than Aaathi all are Super hit or Blockbuster movies.
His 7 movies and his 4 remake movies total 11 movies got remade on other languages and got success result .
But actually rajini was the remake king ( from the expert desk ) on his career peek he did 60 % of his movies only remake or inspired from the hit movies.

Rajini is different bro..what ever he does people will see.But Vijay has only market in Tamil(Tamil related areas).he doesn't have market in other languages because of his remakes and mass movies.He never tries some thing different like surya or vikram.
vijay is not a actor bro, he is producer hero,if he try something new then he did it with his own money.But now he turned to new way,see after thuppaki he had decided and believe only scripts and continuing that way only (kaththi,Puli,Theri).
Another thing we south indian only making movie within 3 languages (Tamil,Telugu,Hindi).Tamil have the same market on kerala too,in hindi other than rajini no one have the market,now come to telugu,If mahesh babu or bavan movie getting bigger hit then the movie only collecting maximum 10 crores in tamil nadu.bahubali is an rare one.Vijay have a 6 crore market on telugu,Vickram and surya 6+4=10 crores market.so dont consider a telegu state for tamilian and tamil nadu for telugu.
For overseas other than US tamil movies getting bigger market than telugu.so dont worry about picking other language markets.Vijay can equal all other south indian leading star's collection with single language.

These days market is changing bro.Even telugu heroes also same like Vijay they never extended their market in to other languages but slowly slowly .they also extending their market.then only they will get big films.thats why i said 4 crores is not a big different
