News Air India launches ‘super sale’, tickets from Rs1,499 for domestic routes

The tickets under the “super sale offer” can be booked between 21 and 25 May for travel between July and 30 September, Air India said. The July-September and January-March quarters are considered the lean season in terms of travel demand.

Last week, three low-cost airlines—SpiceJet, IndiGo and AirAsia India—had announced low airfares too. While SpiceJet offered one-way fares starting Rs.511, IndiGo offeredRs.800. AirAsia India, which is completing two years of operations, had also cut ticket prices by half on several routes.
