Zee news website which had language options under the tab : English, Hindi, 24tas(Marathi),24Ghanta(Bangla) now has new tab for Malayalam which is a fair indication that the next regional news channel coming from Zee is in Malayalam.
Probably after failure of Zee 24 Ghantalu (Telugu) Zee is again trying to enter the south Indian News market with Zee news Malayalam

They have been speaking of zee malayalam GEC since 3-5 years. Even the license of zee malayalam is used for some other channel. They are exploring possibilities of acquiring a malayalam channel as the malayalam space is over crowded with many channels.

They may transform Zeenews.com in Malayalam as well but surely won't launch a news channel on that space.
