Yes, there is a slight difference. 1080p is slightly better than 1080i.

But I heard the TS added 50Hz and 60Hz option in HD STB, and will add 1080p in future software update.

Bro, Another thing, I see some dots/pixels around colors hd logo, when I go close to the screen. Is this common, or does the HD channel have some issue.

Also History HD and CNBC HD are not full screen. There are black borders above and below the screen.

what about black bars? i think it depends on the programs.

Other HD channels are full screen. Only CNBC HD and History HD have that black bars all the time. Must be the aspect ration in MSO decoder is not full screen.

In tata sky both these channels are on full screen only in sd there are black bars
