HEVC is basically used to compress 4K. Instead of introducing a tech-gimmick STB. They should have launched 4K STB's, as they can utilise the efficiency of HEVC to It's Maximum.

as of now SD has space crunch so to squeeze more channels in the current tp they have introduced HEVC stbs and 4K is not their goal for now.
