There are a lot of Channels in those list, which are only Upscaled HD. They added Epic HD for a while, then removed.

It's their nature to stay away from Upscaled HD's, unless it's a regional Channel. eg: Sun Music (One of the worst HD Channel )

But I'm not sure about the TLC's, or the newly launched Sab HD etc.

This list has been made after excluding the upscale hd channels.

Bro.. It depends on the way you perceive HD Channels. Broadcaster's don't tell anybody, our HD channel is upscaled.

You need to be a Video Phillie to understand that. It's not about an HD Logo, there r a lot of other things.

But, I got your point. When time pass by, they all will get improve, then Airtel will add them. Even the True HD Channel concept is brought first by Airtel. The Dolby STB's are brought first by Airtel. Not the others u mentioned above. They just followed the suite

But May I know your excluded Channel list. There are only 73 HD Channels, which are commercially available now.

If you add the current list of HDchannels provided by Airtel with those 18 , it may be more than 73 ;)

Current hd channels in airtel=54(excluding airtel movies and ppv)
Unavailable=18
Total=54+18
=72

I missed one, it seems....

1st - Tata Sky (72)
2nd - Airtel Digital TV (54)
3rd - Dish TV (51)
4th - Videocon D2H (42)

See, I always welcome the addition of HD Channels, But if u mean Airtel to catch up Tata Sky, I'll tell u the truth.

If me & u, shoots something in 3GP, then ad an HD logo into it, & if we have the approval from MIB, Tata Sky will add that channel too. They are capable of doing that. I don't want Airtel to do that. Do U..?

1. If You shoot in 3gp, you won't get MIB license for hd. Even if you get, why will you waste your money on high bandwith of satellites?

2. This thread is not about the fact that I desperately want airtel to add all these channels or "catch up" tatasky, bro.. Its just an informative thread, useful to keep track of the hd channels.

3. The low pq of some hd channels sometimees, are caused when broadcasters/distributors don't have enough satellite bandwidth, and have to compress the channels.

4. The upscaled hd channels you were talking about, are some of the dish tv hd channels..

5. You were the one talking numbers, bro not me. I only replied to your claim with facts.
