I had a similar range extender of netgear. But it had a very peculiar problem. If there is Mac binding on the main router then this range extender didn't work.

I haven't done any Mac binding so could tell if any such issue is there with this but so far this extender is good.

Reason I didn't go with Netgear one because it create a extention of SSID Whereas this one uses same SSID

In netgear too there is option to utilise the same ssid. Basically this is an access point instead of a range extender.
