Important Tatasky temporarily stopped the Exchange of MPEG2 Box ?

Today i called TS CC twice . 1 person told me that "Due to Technical issues from yesterday the exchange of MPEG2 Boxes to MPEG4 has been stopped temporarily. it may start today itself once the issue is solved. Tatasky has changed the system codes yesterday on behalf of migration. so some MPEG4 Boxes r not working properly . also an issue in earlier Boxes too. "
TS Area head also told me yesterday the same thing . few minutes back i called him and he is still waiting for confirmation and 350 Boxes r in the lineup for exchange but it was stuckked due to Coding.
Also now they r taking 48 hours instead of 24 hours for replace and work order.
Any one knows whether any exchanges made in other locations ?

Good update sir But any way services are not stopped on mpeg4 stb and till they not convert any existing channel in mpeg4.

Yes the programs r not stopped but the time has been extended to 48 hours from 24 hours for Replacement. some CC people r not aware of this as usual Just now asked CC but he dont know about this.

only some cc guys are able to give very correct update, other are unable to give exact update, what is they received and what need to convey customer. They always misguide us and this time many cc guys dont know, what is mpeg4?. They are very poor in this tech knowledge. Any way i think ts increase time frame because of high demand.

why they stop ? they can do it from OTA also . i think they are making you fool . even it's true, how they can flash new firmware so fast and replace your and other ppl STB today itself ?

Bhat Sir, My brother raised the request yesterday evening and his box was replaced today afternoon, say around 13:00 hrs in bangalore. after his box was replaced it took 1 hr to get the channel, he called care they informed him some pairing issue. Also they replaced his remote, gave him universal remote, but the catch is they charged INR 125/- :tongue:

is this amount charged by tata sky???if yes,then for what reasons???

You cant "upgrade" MPEG2 boxes to MPEG4 from OTA or software update. Boxes need to be replaced. Get your facts right before posting.

Actually remote price is ₹225 from ts and if we purchase from local dealer minus visit charge

Who said they are replacing all the boxes today itself? And they are not flashing the STBs. Boxes cant be upgraded from MPEG2 to MPEG4. They are replaced. This replacement has been stopped now due to some technical issues and will/may resume today itself. That is what the post says. Please read properly before posting.
